After debuting his very dope, number one album in the country on Tuesday, life probably couldn’t be better for ScHoolboy Q! He made time to visit J. Cruz and our fellow L.A. Leaker, Justin Credible on Power 106 during the #LIFTOFF to chill and talk about his project. In the midst of that, Kendrick Lamar called in to playfully talk a little sh** and then ultimately to congratulate his TDE label mate on the success of his new album. (more…)

Power 106‘s “Valentine’s Crush” artist Jason Derulo drops the visuals to his track, “Stupid Love.” The heartfelt song’s visuals depict Derulo putting it all on the line for his love interest. Powerful track.
During her performance at the Official GRAMMY After-Party at the L.A. Convention Center, Ciara debuts her new song, “Anytime.” The ballad sounds amazing, and pregnancy suits her well. Hopefully, she’ll sing it again at Power 106‘s Valentine’s Crush performance on February 14th!
Rikki Martinez and Power 106 take us us inside the hustle and rhymes of today’s rising stars and hottest names within the hip-hop culture in the new “Behind The Sound” series. To start it off, Rikki talks with one of LA’s very own, Inglewood rapper Skeme. If you’re from LA and truly enjoy hip-hop, there is no doubt you’ve heard of him. Even if you’re not from LA, and truly enjoy hip-hop, it’d be hard to believe you haven’t heard the raspy-voiced rapper drop some dope bars either through mixtapes, or alongside some of your favorite artists. He’s been grinding for years and secured features on tracks with any and everyone who is relevant on the West Coast. His unique sound and thirst for success have pushed him to become one of the artists to look out for in 2014.

This holiday season was definitely one to remember. Power 106 composed a “jolly” clip for this season with all their on-air radio personalities and even some cameos from celebrities like B.o.B, Ne-Yo and more. Happy Holidays!
Providing very unique imagery throughout the video, Tyga and Justin Bieber drop the visuals to their hit single “Wait For A Minute.” Having earned a great response from their collaboration when it premiered on Power 106 earlier this year, the duo stepped it up and showed their talent can be just as successful on screen as it on air. Check out this hot video below!
Dominating the 2014 nomination list, Kendrick Lamar announces he will be performing at the 56th Grammy Awards on January 26th. We recently experienced Kendrick’s raw energy at Cali Christmas. “It feels great. I got some of the best fans, some of the best family, the best radio stations supporting me, and that’s who I owe it to at the end of the day. I need that love. That album is a really raw album, it’s not too much crossover. So for them to even put it in that light, that’s a win by itself. So if I take it home that’s even more of a crazy feeling,” he told our Power 106 fam. We can’t wait to see him hit the Grammy stage! See what he has to say about his performance below.
It’s not a holiday season in Los Angeles without our annual Power 106 Cali Christmas! This year was definitely one to remember. Not only was the venue 3x its regular size this year, but the artist line-up was amazing! From Rick Ross to 2 Chainz to surprise guests like Big Sean – you didn’t want to miss this show.
We had a few alumni headliners this year, including TDE‘s Kendrick Lamar. Though, K. Dot didn’t perform his verse on Big Sean’s “Control” he made up for it by bringing out P. Diddy! Diddy shocked the Honda Center, performing “It’s All About the Benjamins” and the remix to Future’s “Same Damn Time.”
Mando Fresko along with Karen Civil were this year’s official Cali Christmas fashion corespondents and handled the gold carpet for Footaction‘s Own It. They talked kicks with DJ Mustard and Teeflii, new music with 2 Chainz and Rick Ross said, “[he loves] putting on a $25 t-shirt… and then throwing on an $80,000 chain!” Those are just three of the many artists that hit the carpet! What did your favorite artist have to say?
Just recently, both Kid Ink and Eric Bellinger performed at this year’s 2nd Annual Team Homeboy vs Power 106 Charity Basketball Game, now they team up on their new track, “Just Do It.” This joint won’t be on Kid Ink’s, My Own Lane album, but don’t knock it so soon. 808 Mafia and Metro Boomin‘ kill the production on here!
