Not only does she sing, but she’s also one of the main producers in Odd Future and a mixer in The Internet; meet this week’s #TELLAFRIEND Artist of the Week, Syd tha Kyd! Growing up, Syd grew from a privileged family with a musical background. Her mom always wished to be a DJ and her uncle made it as a reggae producer. By the age of 14, she had already built her own home studio and switched high school because her school wasn’t open-minded.
She met OF because they used her studio and it was there that most of their original material was recorded. A very young, inspiring artist you don’t want to sleep on! Get familiar with Syd after the jump.

A very diverse line-up at this year’s second annual Budweiser Made in America Festival. From hip-hop to rock to EDM to R&B, many great performers hit the stage and really dropped knowledge on their fans. Public Enemy, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Emeli Sandé, Phoenix, and Beyoncé kicked off day one of the festival, meanwhile Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, and Nine Inch Nails closed it day two.
