Last night Pharrell performed in front of a sold-out audience for American Express’ #AmexUNSTAGED concert series. The concert took place in Harlem’s Apollo Theater and it was definitely a concert to remember. Skateboard P performed classics like “Frontin'” and”She Wants to Move” to some of his newer music like “Happy.” If that wasn’t enough, he brought out T.I. and Busta Rhymes – the crowd went crazy after that.
Pharrell kicks off the NBA All-Stars and kills it with his performance! He starts off with his smash hit “Frontin” and is joined by Nelly on stage who starts to perform his Pharrell produced track “Hot In Herre!” He then continues with his hit “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me),” and finishes off with Diddy and Busta Rhymes in a choreographed performance to “Happy” joined along with Snoop. It was only a matter of time. Busta Rhymes & Azealia Banks hop on the remix of Beyonce‘s “Partition.” The two come at the dope beat with some cool bars, while keeping Beyonce’s chorus line, “Driver roll up the partition please.” Busta teased the remix via Twitter a few days ago. Staying true to their word, Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip drop a collaborative mixtape, The Abstract & The Dragon. Although the two don’t stray too far from their original roots, they spice it up with a few remixes and features. The new mixtape also provides a few originals, including “Thank You.” We love it. Takes us back a little, in a good way.
