Video: Lil Wayne & Kanye West Celebrate DJ Khaled’s Birthday

And the award for party of the year goes to….DJ Khaled! At his birthday party at LIV Miami he had some of the heaviest hitters come out and perform for him. Rappers like Kanye West and Lil Wayne hit the stage and killed it. Kanye came out performing two tracks, “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and “I Wish You Would,” while Weezy and his crew hit the stage for “No Worries.” Also popping bottles with Khaled was French Montana, Diddy, Timbaland, Fat Joe and Busta Rhymes. Busta Rhymes looks super fly in his video for “Movie.” The video takes place on what appears to be the set of a 1920′s movie. Everything looks so dope. It’s all very classy. Even the scantily clad girls subtly writhing over inanimate object look classy in their 20′s attire. The song is pretty good as well.

He treats this waitress like a queen and kills us in the end when we see he was only dreaming. Special appearances from Busta Rhymes, Birdman, Fat Joe and DJ Khaled are made throughout the clip. The song is pretty good, but the video… not so much. In the description of the video from Fat Joe‘s own Vevo account it says the video features Kanye West, Jadakiss, Miguel, Mos Def, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, Busta Rhymes and Ashanti. Yes, all these people are in the video, but not all of them sing/rap. So we feel kind of lied too. The second big problem with the video is that it’s basically one big ad for Nuvo. We’re totally good with a bit of subtle product placement, but when a video becomes an ad it’s not fun to watch anymore. Check it below and tell us your thoughts. (more…)

Snoop Dogg Believes Hip Hop is Becoming Accepting of Homosexuality

The hip hop community has a known history of homophobia, but it seems as if they are ready to become more accepting. Snoop Doog said, “People are learning how to live and get along more, and accept people for who they are and not bash them or hurt them because they’re different.”
