Don’t call it a break up, but they just don’t know when they’ll be teaming back up. Redfoo and Sky Blu make up LMFAO, but now they’re taking some time apart to work on solo projects. Redfoo said, “I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time.” It seems like a weird time to take a break since they only really blew up this year.
Their latest album scored the duo two number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100. They also got the chance to perform at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards and during the halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl. But Redfoo doesn’t want his fans to worry because the LMFAO sound isn’t going anywhere. The party rocker said, “All the music that I’m going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish … I love all the topics that we talk about. I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music.”
