Lady Gaga‘s new album won’t just be an album, it will be a “multimedia experience,” according to her website. Artpop isn’t set to be released until next year, but it’s sounding better and better by the minute. Gaga said, “You inspired me to create something that communicated with images, because you do, you communicate with me and each other with .gifs and pictures, and artwork, graphics all day 24/7.”
This isn’t the first time this has been done. Bjork released her album along with an iPad and iPhone app. But Gaga’s got another trick up her sleeve. “The most major way to fully immerse yourself in ‘ARTPOP’ is through the app. ARTPOP’ will be released as an iPad, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application that is completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, Gaga-inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works,”said the pop singer.
This is a pretty cool way of gaining more interest and interaction from your fans. Who knows, maybe apps and albums are the next step in the music industry’s future.
