#whatimsportin: Illesteva Saloniki Sunglasses

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Yesterday I stepped into my favorite vintage sunglasses store in L.A. (I would tell you the name of it, but then I would have to kill you.) There, I spotted these hand made Illesteva Saloniki wood grain sunglasses made in Italy… yes, wood! Sorry, had to repeat it in case you missed it the first time.

In my 7 years of sunglasses collecting, I’ve never seen such a thing! Ridiculously light weight and as you can see, fresh to def too. They remind me of the Super sunglasses a little bit. Even though they’re not vintage, they are still a great piece to have. The Saloniki is available at Open Ceremony.

#whatimsportin: Good Wood Bracelets

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Lately, I’ve been diggin’ Good Wood bracelets. I first got into these in Haiti two weeks ago, saw a lot of young Haitian peeps sportin’ them and thought to myself, “I need a wood beaded bracelet… and a big booty Haitian girl.” (Don’t forget, I’m thinking this in my head.) So when I came back to L.A., first thing I did was look for them… and the bracelets. *Ba-dum-ch!*

Anyway, to make a long story, longer… after shopping around I picked up a few Good Wood bracelets, which have become my new favorite accessory. Peep some more here: goodwoodnyc.com

Have a good weekend fam!
