Qwikster Twitter: The best thing to happen to Netflix’s Public Relations in a LONG time. By now you’ve probably heard the news that Netflix CEO Reed Hastings’ genius idea to correct his price-hike debacle that caused the company to lose thousands of subscribers was to separate the trouble company into two separate entities. Despite the fact that the “Qwikster” name sounds like one of those sad, failed Napster bootlegs from the early 2000s, one good thing has come out of the announcement: the Qwikster Twitter account. Belonging to the mysterious Jason Castillo and featuring a pot-smoking Elmo as an avatar, this account has not been officially bought by Netflix, and let’s hope it stays that way. Follow Jason as he recruits teammates for his Original Gangstaz iPhone app, is wowed by the magic of running water and contemplates how much he should hold out for to sell his account. Long live El Castillo!
