Video: Kanye West Performs “Black Skinhead” & “New Slaves” on SNL

After premiering “New Slaves” on 66 buildings worldwide, Kanye West makes his appearance on Saturday Night Live! He performs two new tracks off his upcoming album, Yeezus and it’s definitely a new Kanye. He kicked off the night with “Black Skinhead,” wearing a black leather jacket – channeling his inner rock star. For his next performance, he performs “New Slaves,” wearing a more relaxed fit; a black scoop-neck. Hit the jump to watch both of his performances.

New week, new artist; this week’s #TELLAFRIEND Artist of the Week goes to Rockie Fresh. Signed to MMG, Rockie Fresh has put in work since his first mixtape back in 2009. The 22-year-old Chicago native has a very unique style to his flow, mixing both rock and hip-hop in his music.

Being the youngest member in the MMG label and the only one from the Chi, Rockie says he sees the world differently compared to his label-mates. #TELLAFRIEND Artist of the Week: Yuna – “Let Love Come Through” & “I Wanna Go”

If you haven’t heard about Malaysian singer-songwriter, Yuna your ears are definitely missing out. Last year, Yuna was introduced by Pharrell this year she’s set to release her first project with Verve Records. Yuna has grown a strong buzz all over the world! She gave up her traditional life in her Malaysia, moved to Los Angeles and went global.

The 26-year-old is not your typical pop star. She wears her hijab head scarf of her Islamic faith and it is because she still stays true to her religion she’s now an icon back home. Yuna is not only a pop-star but also quite the business woman. The law-school graduate has turned her personal style into a business with HER I AM JET FUEL shop in Malaysia. The shop sells the clothes she loves as well as her own line of Malaysian head scarves.

We’re taking things back to the west coast this week, this week for our #TELLAFRIEND Artist of the Week with Casey Veggies! This guy has grown a strong buzz on his own; he first caught our attention back in 2011 when he was still in high school and part of OFWGKTA. Since then he’s branched out, graduated high school (with a live coverage from MTV at Crenshaw High), launched his own brand with Peas and Carrots International, just to name a few. There’s been a lot of buzz this week for the Grammy’s about who’s going to win what, that will all end this weekend. We’ve seen the ballot and we’re glad to see some of our favorite artist on there, from Drake to Nas to Frank Ocean who is currently the leading nominee. Video: Bikers Shut Down I-10 FWY For Wedding Proposal

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, love is already in the air. What better way to show your significant other how much you love them than by shutting down the I-10 Freeway, right? That’s exactly what Hector ‘Tank’ Martinez did with the help of over three hundred of his fellow bikers.

According to sources, he had been planning this since October and he remembered his long-time girlfriend Paige Hernandez saying she always wanted her proposal in the bike scene and with all her family around. [Update] Photos: Chris Brown & Frank Ocean Fight in the Studio

It’s true, Chris Brown and Frank Ocean get in a brawl. During a recording session at Westlake Studios in Los Angeles, Chris Brown went out to listen to one of his artists, on his way out he was stopped by Frank Ocean’s people. According to TMZ, Frank told Chris “This is my studio, this is my parking.” Chris reached out for a “hand shake” (according to what Frank told police, Chris was going for a punch) and that triggered one of Frank’s people to attack him. Sources say that Chris’ people jumped in immediately to back him up.

Chris left the scene before the cops arrive but Frank did stay to speak to them. No one seems to want to press charges and no arrests were made. Frank did take to his Twitter to reveal some unfortunate news. Hit the jump to see his tweets.
