Last night I was one of the 600 lucky people to attend the Nike Mag event held at the Montalban Theater in Hollywood, CA. I’ve been to the Montalban Theater many times, but nothing would have prepared me for what was waiting for me inside.
In the front of the theater was a DeLorean with both doors open, showcasing all the lights, buttons and yes, the famous time machine. Through the Montalban doors were LED lights hanging from the ceiling, a 20 foot glass wall of Nike Mags and original props from the Back to the Future trilogy were lighting up this energy center.
Pictures (like the one above) were being taken in front of a green screen. While you waited for the pic of yourself wearing the Nike Mags and riding the hoverboard, you could walk over to the 80′s bar full of wine and L.A.’s top tastemakers. Ran into many friends last night… Maestro of Maestro Knows (who made an amazing video about the Nike Mag event), celebrity jewelry designer Melody Ehsani, and rapper Tinie Tempah (we’ll get back to him later).
